PLEASE NOTE: This YEP outreach event has been cancelled. The NIU Southeast Asia Youth Leadership Program (SEAYLP) will not take place this year due to COVID-19. This was the first year for this YEP outreach event. We are excited for this opportunity and plan to engage SEAYLP again next year.

Youth Engaged in Philanthropy (YEP) members – Sign-up to represent YEP in part two of the NIU Southeast Asia Youth Leadership Program (SEAYLP) event. A fun-filled event with multiple opportunities for interaction with high school students from Southeast Asia.

Note: The NIU SEAYLP brings 60 high school students from Southeast Asia to the United States each year through a U.S. State Department grant.

  • Volunteers needed: 5+
  • Time: 5:00 – 7:00 p.m.
  • Location: Altgeld Hall (NIU Castle), 116 Altgeld Hall, DeKalb
  • Duties: NIU Southeast Asia Youth Leadership Program (SEAYLP) students will present to YEP and the community. View SEAYLP student projects/tri-fold boards and offer feedback. Then, stay for dinner to continue the discussion with students. Optional – Stay for cultural presentations from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m.
  • Dress for success!
