Upcoming Events

The Salvation Army Holiday Assistance program provides clients the opportunity to shop for Christmas and holiday gifts for their loved ones.  YEP is participating this year by volunteering onsite at the Salvation Army to help clients select gifts at the Salvation Army Holiday store. Let’s spread some holiday cheer!

YEP volunteer details:

  • Volunteers still needed: 10 of 10

  • Date: Wednesday, December 16
  • Time: 2:00- 5:00 p.m.
  • Location: Salvation Army, DeKalb (830 Grove St #4258, DeKalb)
  • Duties: Help stock toys on tables, assist clients with taking toys and food to vehicles, assisting clients with shopping (making sure they are shopping in the correct age group of toys, picking out the designated number of toys for each child, directing clients in the right direction)
  • Wear your YEP t-shirt!
  • COVID-19 Requirements: Volunteers MUST wear a mask (bring your own), wear disposable gloves (provided), and take part in a pre-screening before volunteering.
