- Choose the Donate online! button
- Select a Fund
- Enter the amount you wish to give

Please note that credit card transactions carry a processing fee. This fee will be deducted from the gift amount and the net proceeds will be added to the fund. Cash or Check
An easy way to make contributions, both large and small. Donations can be made in person or by mail. Please make checks out to DeKalb County Community Foundation and include any gift direction in the memo section, through a gift envelope, or a cover letter. Gifts can be mailed or dropped off to DeKalb County Community Foundation – 475 DeKalb Avenue, Sycamore, IL 60178.
Appreciated Stocks, Bonds, and Mutual Funds
With donations of stocks or bonds that have been held for some time, donors can avoid significant capital gains, and the net contribution is larger than the actual cost. A real "win-win" for donor and Community Foundation alike.
IRA Qualified Charitable Distributions (QCDs)
Turn your individual retirement account (IRA) into a tax-saving charitable donation and take advantage of extended tax benefits. An option for individuals age 70 ½ and older who want to make a gift of a lifetime during their lifetime.
By giving a gift of cryptocurrency, donors can make sizable donations that are tax-deductible. The Community Foundation accepts a variety of cryptocurrencies through BitPay. Currency includes Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), Dogecoin (DOGE), and more.
Gift of Grain
There are many ways your gift of grain can make a positive impact. By aligning generosity with your charitable interests, you provide opportunity and support to many areas. Donating a gift of grain is a simple way to make a lasting difference.
The gift of real estate or other tangible assets is a great way to make a sizable donation. This type of donation is tax deductible and after the Foundation sells the property, enables the donor to direct the donation to a new or existing Fund.

The Dinontas Society is a special community of donors to the Community Foundation who completed financial contributions as a provision of their will, charitable trust, estate, and/or memorial gift designation. Dinontas (Δίνοντας) is Greek for ‘Giving.’
We created a special place to honor of these donors who have left a legacy of love and support and to tell their stories.
