Student-Led Grant Supports Youth Needs in DeKalb County
June 8, 2026After 11 years of helping tell the stories of generosity and impact across DeKalb County, Marketing Director Noah Nordbrock is moving on to a new opportunity with Opportunity House Inc. His official last day with the Community Foundation will be Friday, June 19.
Throughout his time with the Foundation, Noah helped share the stories of donors, nonprofits, grant recipients, and community partners through newsletters, social media, photography, video, and publications. He also spent seven years serving as staff advisor for Youth Engaged in Philanthropy, helping inspire the next generation of community leaders.
“We’re grateful for Noah’s creativity, tone that he set for the Foundation’s brand and communications, his dedication, and commitment to serving DeKalb County,” said Foundation Executive Director Dan Templin “While we’ll miss him on staff, we’re excited to see the impact he’ll continue to make in our community.”
We asked Noah to share a few reflections from his time:
“There is so much to learn about the Community Foundation and the many ways it helps enhance quality of life in DeKalb County. I’ve enjoyed working alongside the staff, Board, local nonprofits, and the many wonderful donors who make that work possible.
Some of my favorite memories include seven years serving as staff advisor for Youth Engaged in Philanthropy, celebrating the Foundation’s 25th anniversary, writing and photographing grant-in-action stories, and spending time with donors as they shared the ‘why’ behind their generosity.
The Foundation is a place full of hearts and heroes. I look forward to continuing my work in the community from a new perspective, investing my time and talents with another amazing local organization dedicated to serving others.
I am thankful to the Foundation Board, staff, and Executive Director Dan Templin for investing in me for so many years.”
Please join us in thanking Noah for his years of service and wishing him all the best in this next chapter.
As the Community Foundation begins the process of filling the marketing position, communications will focus on priority projects and content. Planning for the position replacement will take place in the coming weeks.
