Please join us in saying THANK YOU to Regina Parker for her nine years of time and service on the DeKalb County Community Foundation Board of Directors.

Regina represented the Sycamore community during her time on the Board. Throughout her service, she brought a strong belief in the power of local organizations and the important role they play in strengthening communities across DeKalb County.

Regina served on a variety of Foundation committees, including the Grants Committee, which she most recently chaired. This role was one she described as her love and passion. In her work, Regina partnered closely with staff and the Board to ensure thoughtful stewardship of the Foundation’s community grant dollars, helping meet local needs and respond to new opportunities. Her leadership reflected a deep commitment to supporting organizations of all sizes and helping them make a meaningful impact.

She shared that one lasting takeaway from her Board service was the reminder that “every nonprofit organization, no matter how small, has the ability to give great things to the community.”

As Regina’s time on the Board comes to a close in January 2026, we thank her for her leadership, thoughtful service, and meaningful contributions to the Foundation and to DeKalb County. Her dedication has made a real difference, and we are truly grateful.
