Please join us in saying THANK YOU to Justin Wegener for his six years of time and service on the DeKalb County Community Foundation Board of Directors.

Justin represented the Sandwich community during his time on the Board. He often shared how much he values Sandwich’s strong sense of service and support for one another, especially through the many nonprofit organizations that care for the community’s most vulnerable residents. He also appreciated the community’s pride in its history and its close connection to DeKalb County.

Justin served on several Foundation committees, including the Community Engagement Committee, which he currently chairs through the end of January 2026. Reflecting on his time in this role, Justin shared, “One experience that stood out most to me was helping bring community stakeholders together, which led to the launch of a community paramedicine program in DeKalb. This work is a great example of the influence of the Community Foundation, which, through the support and vision of our generous donors, can help make new things happen across DeKalb County.”

We thank Justin for his time, leadership, and commitment to the Foundation and to DeKalb County. His service has helped build stronger connections and create meaningful opportunities for our communities.
