Please join us as we welcome Michael Constant, Hinckley representative, to the DeKalb County Community Foundation Board of Directors.
“Hinckley is a small, vibrant, welcoming community where it is a pleasure to serve on the Village Board and help make improvements in our town. There are many challenges facing small municipalities, and it is enriching to work for the fine people in Hinckley.”
Michael was born in Louisville, Kentucky, and is a graduate of the University of Louisville. He has worked as a credit manager, manager of internal audit, plant manager at a paint manufacturer, controller of a sand mining company, and vice president/treasurer of a standardbred horse breeding farm. Michael and his wife Debbie moved to Hinckley in 1991. Their daughter, Jessica, lives in Ireland, and their grandson, Joshua, recently moved to the U.S. from Ireland.
The Constants have raised Irish Terriers for over 20 years and their dogs compete in agility and other performance activities. Michael has served as president and board member of the Irish Terrier Club of America and president of the Agility Ability Club of Illinois. He held several officer positions with the Irish Terrier Club of Chicago.
Michael served on the Hinckley Planning Commission for many years. He is a current Village Trustee.
“I’m looking forward to getting more involved in county-wide operations and helping to enhance the development of all of our county communities. I feel quite fortunate to be a part of the exceptional opportunities offered by the Community Foundation.”
