The DeKalb County Community Foundation is pleased to announce new leadership for its treasurer position with the Board of Directors. During the January 2022 meeting, the Foundation welcomed David B. Castle (DeKalb) as the Board Treasurer.
The additional leadership roles continue as elected in 2021. G. Joseph Mitchell (DeKalb) serves as Board President, Christine Johnson (Shabbona) as Vice President, and Dan Templinas Secretary while fulfilling his other role as Executive Director of the Community Foundation.
“We are grateful to past Treasurer Roger Maas (DeKalb) for his term of service and stewardship of the charitable resources shared with the Foundation by generous individuals, families, and organizations,” said Dan Templin. “We are thrilled to have David Castle in this important role and know that he will continue our tradition of transparent and effective financial oversight.”
The Board of Directors are representatives throughout the county who govern the Community Foundation as thoughtful contributors and connectors to the mission of the Foundation. Board members serve three year terms and may serve up to nine years. The Board sets policy, formulates strategic priorities, and determines the use of grantmaking and other Foundation resources.
