The DeKalb County Community Foundation is happy to announce that $115,010 was recently awarded in spring Farny R. Wurlitzer Foundation Fund Grants. Funding benefited 21 nonprofits and public sector direct service organizations across the greater Chicagoland area for music education.
“During this last year, support for arts & culture nonprofits has decreased significantly,” said Community Foundation Grants Director Tiffany McQueen Lewis. “We are thrilled to provide grants to these organizations so that music education can continue on throughout this pandemic and beyond.”
A recent Farny R. Wurlitzer Foundation Fund Grant to Christ the King Lutheran Church and School helped support violin rental and professional maintenance.
