$115,010 Awarded in Wurlitzer Foundation Fund Grants to Support Music EducationJune 30, 2021
Please join us in thanking Betsy Hull, Finance Director, for her nearly five years of service with the Community Foundation. Betsy has accepted another position and will move on this summer. We are grateful for her leadership and expertise as the very first Finance Director at the Foundation. We wish her the very best!
As Betsy departs, this also means a new opportunity at the Community Foundation as we seek to fill the Finance Director position. We are a small team of professionals who love the community and love what we do. Interested and qualified candidates are encouraged to review the newly posted job position and apply online.
In a recent conversation we asked Betsy to share a little about her time on staff; how she grew professionally, what she learned along the way, and what she’ll miss. Here is what she said:
“Since joining the Community Foundation in 2016, I have learned so much about the Foundation environment and even more about the nonprofit landscape of DeKalb County. It was a real privilege to work here, a place where we don’t focus on the mission of just one nonprofit, but rather the entire sector. Contributing to the success of local nonprofits was truly rewarding and I value my network that has grown over the last few years.
The generosity of this community has also amazed me. Whether it was Board engagement, support for new or existing Funds, COVID-19 Response Fund gifts and guidance, or the magnitude of Give DeKalb County, our community cares for each other and demonstrates this compassion through their giving of their time, talent, and treasure.
The Foundation staff is dedicated to serving this community and I was extremely proud to work with this team of nonprofit professionals who carry on the traditions of this organization. They made me appreciate that nonprofit work is best done TOGETHER.” – Betsy Hull
