“Since joining the Community Foundation in 2016, I have learned so much about the Foundation environment and even more about the nonprofit landscape of DeKalb County. It was a real privilege to work here, a place where we don’t focus on the mission of just one nonprofit, but rather the entire sector. Contributing to the success of local nonprofits was truly rewarding and I value my network that has grown over the last few years.
The generosity of this community has also amazed me. Whether it was Board engagement, support for new or existing Funds, COVID-19 Response Fund gifts and guidance, or the magnitude of Give DeKalb County, our community cares for each other and demonstrates this compassion through their giving of their time, talent, and treasure.
The Foundation staff is dedicated to serving this community and I was extremely proud to work with this team of nonprofit professionals who carry on the traditions of this organization. They made me appreciate that nonprofit work is best done TOGETHER.” – Betsy Hull
