Give DeKalb County Announced $50,000 Suter Company donation.

The Suter Company has donated $50,000 to Give DeKalb County, which benefits 111 nonprofit organizations and Funds that are participating in the annual giving day.

“We are very blessed to have an incredible network of nonprofit organizations serving our community,” said Tim Suter, President/CEO of The Suter Company. “The current crisis situation has put tremendous pressure on their fundraising efforts and it is more important than ever that Give DeKalb County is successful so nonprofits can continue to do their great work in our community.”

Give DeKalb County is coordinated by the DeKalb County Nonprofit Partnership (DCNP), a program of the DeKalb County Community Foundation. The previous six giving days combined have raised over $2.5 million for participating nonprofit organizations.

“This donation to the Bonus Pool is extremely impactful,” said Ben Bingle, DCNP Director. “It instantly put our Bonus Pool over $100,000 and we’ve structured some incentives as a way to further engage nonprofits and donors.”

Collectively reaching two milestones will ‘unlock’ funds to the Bonus Pool. If $200,000 or more is raised by 10 a.m. on May 7, $10,000 will be added to the Bonus Pool and if at least 1,500 individual donors participate in Give DeKalb County then $15,000 will be added to the Bonus Pool.

“The Suter Company is grateful to be operating during this difficult time and is happy to partner with the DeKalb County Community Foundation in an effort to support nonprofit organizations,” said Suter.

Donors can select the nonprofit(s) they want to support by visiting www.GiveDeKalbCounty.org. Donations can be made online by credit card, debit card, ACH transfer, or Mobile Wallet from midnight to midnight on May 7 on the website. Donors giving by check can print a donation form from the website, complete the form indicating the organization(s), and donation amount(s), then write a single check for the total amount payable to “DCCF.” Checks can be mailed to DeKalb County Community Foundation, 475 DeKalb Avenue, Sycamore, IL 60178 and must be postmarked by May 7.

The minimum online donation amount is $5 and there is no minimum for mailed donations. Every donation made during Give DeKalb County leverages a portion of matching funds from the Bonus Pool. Over 30 Community Partners have donated to the Bonus Pool so far.

For a list of participating organizations or for more information about Give DeKalb County 2020, visit www.GiveDeKalbCounty.org, or contact Ben Bingle, DCNP Director, at ben@dekalbccf.org.
