Youth Engaged in Philanthropy, YEP, DeKalb County Community Foundation

Last year a $1,250 YEP Grant to DeKalb County Community Gardens provided tools and educational materials for the summer camp program at Walnut Grove Vocational Farm in Kirkland. Campers learned about horticulture in a fun integrated environment.

Nonprofit and community organizations are invited to submit YEP Grant requests, up to $2,500, for programs and projects that impact youth in DeKalb County. Similar to other grant programs of the DeKalb County Community Foundation, YEP Grants have a specific purpose, to improve the quality of life for youth in DeKalb County. Projects considered for funding must directly involve youth, promote youth empowerment and leadership, and be dedicated to the local community.

Deadline for grant applications is February 1, 2020. No hard copy applications will be accepted. Apply online at dekalbccf.org/yepgrants.

Youth Engaged in Philanthropy (YEP) is a youth-led high school committee of the Community Foundation. YEP provides opportunities for youth across DeKalb County to develop leadership skills, learn about philanthropy, and become engaged in their communities through grantmaking and volunteering.
