September 10, 2019For the second consecutive year, a series of workshops for staff, volunteers, and board members of local nonprofit organizations will be offered in Sandwich. The series is led by the DeKalb County Nonprofit Partnership (DCNP), a program of the DeKalb County Community Foundation, in collaboration with the Sandwich Area Chamber of Commerce, the Sandwich Public Library District, and Fox Valley Community Services.
The Nonprofit Essentials Training Series is open to anyone affiliated with a nonprofit organization and is being offered free of charge. Each workshop is hosted at the Sandwich Public Library, 925 South Main Street in Sandwich.
“This training series provides an opportunity for attendees to learn, network, and develop their fundraising skills,” said Cindy Worsley, Executive Director of Fox Valley Community Services. “We are so proud to be a member of DCNP and are very excited to partner with them on another training series here in Sandwich.”
The entire series focuses on fundraising, with workshops held on September 24, October 22, and November 19. Trainings take place from 9:00 – 10:30 a.m. and are presented by Kristin Miller, a seasoned nonprofit consultant and current Director of Advancement for the College of Visual and Performing Arts at Northern Illinois University.
“This workshop series is just one of the ways for us to better serve the incredible organizations located in southern DeKalb County,” said Ben Bingle, DCNP Director. “We are excited to partner with the Chamber, the Library, and Fox Valley Community Services and we look forward to launching this 3-part training series.”
