Community Needs Grant, DeKalb County Community Foundation

A fall 2018 Community Needs Grant to the Hinckley Historical Society was used for an emergency brick replacement project. With the new bricking in place, the danger of falling brick and windows has been eliminated. The historic structure once again gives an inviting look to the museum and downtown Hinckley.

Nonprofits and charitable organizations are encouraged to apply for a fall 2019 Community Needs Grant or a Farny R. Wurlitzer Foundation Fund Grant. Both grant programs are made possible through donor generosity to the DeKalb County Community Foundation. Learn more or apply online at dekalbccf.org/grantprograms. Application deadline is Sunday, September 1. Applicants requesting $25,000 or more must contact the Community Foundation by August 1.

Community Needs Grants support the charitable needs and efforts of local nonprofit and community organizations throughout DeKalb County. Funding for this grant program is made possible through donor generosity to Community Impact Funds and the power of endowment.

Farny R. Wurlitzer Foundation Fund Grants support music education for nonprofit and community organizations throughout DeKalb County and the greater Chicagoland area. Funding for this grant program is made possible through a donor advised fund established by the Farny R. Wurlitzer Foundation in 2012 at the Community Foundation.
