June 17, 2019For the tenth consecutive year, Nonprofit Day will offer training, networking, and professional development for nonprofit staff, volunteers, and board members on Wednesday, July 24 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at Faranda’s Banquet Center in DeKalb. The conference is organized by the DeKalb County Nonprofit Partnership (DCNP), which is a program of the DeKalb County Community Foundation.
Nonprofit Day is generously sponsored by First Midwest Bank.
“Nonprofit organizations within DeKalb County are in touch with the needs of our community,” said Mike Cullen, Regional President of First Midwest Bank. “It is our pleasure to support this day and more importantly, support the work that these nonprofits perform day in and day out, every year.”
Training will focus on topics such as, diversity, leadership, financial management, social media, and more. The keynote presentation is titled, “Managing Workplace Diversity and Inclusion.” Marc Perry, who works for Community Action, Inc. in southern Wisconsin, will provide the keynote remarks.
“Nonprofit Day is an exciting opportunity for nonprofit representatives to connect, to engage, and to learn together,” said Ben Bingle, DCNP Director. “Thanks to the support of First Midwest Bank, we can offer this professional development experience complete with a keynote presentation, nine breakout sessions, networking reception, and more right here locally.”
Attendance is capped at 150 and those interested must RSVP for Nonprofit Day by July 19. Online registration is available at dcnp.org. Attendance is free for DCNP members and non-members can attend for $30, payable at the door by check or cash.
