Please join us as we welcome Lisa Gudmunson, Somonauk representative, to the DeKalb County Community Foundation Board of Directors.
Lisa grew up in Yorkville, and met her husband Dan during her freshman year at Illinois State University. Upon graduation with a degree in Mass Communications, Lisa and Dan were married and moved to Dan’s hometown of Somonauk. The Gudmunsons have two grown children, Michael and Jessica, three grandchildren, and another grandchild on the way. “I am proud to say that my husband and both children graduated from Somonauk High School,” said Lisa. “It continues to be a community of people who come together and support each other. So many generously donate their time and talent for the betterment of the entire community. Bobcat Pride!”
This year, Lisa celebrates 25 years as a realtor with Coldwell Banker The Real Estate Group. Her daughter Jessica joined the realtor team 6 years ago and they are known locally as The Gudmunson Group.
Having been invested in the Somonauk community for the past 33 years, Lisa has served on many organizations and boards including Somonauk School Board, Somonauk Junior Women’s Club, the Sandwich Chamber Board, and various real estate leadership and church volunteer roles.
When not selling real estate, Lisa loves to travel and makes several short trips to Alaska each year to visit family and the grandbabies! Her greatest joy is spending time with her children and grandchildren.
“It is such an honor to represent Somonauk on the Community Foundation Board. I look forward to working with other members of the board who share my love of this great county.” – Lisa Gudmunson
