The DeKalb County Community Foundation is unveiling a campaign to provide support for nonprofit organizations well into the future. The Stronger Together campaign’s goal is to grow the DCNP Endowment Fund, started earlier this year, to a total of $2 million. The DeKalb County Nonprofit Partnership (DCNP) works to strengthen nonprofit organizations in DeKalb County. The DCNP Endowment Fund is currently valued at approximately $1.4 million. The Community Foundation has committed $1 million as a sign of its dedication, along with additional contributions from donors excited to provide core support to DCNP. The Foundation is working to add $600,000 to ‘endow’ this important program.

The Douglas C. and Lynn M. Roberts Family Foundation has offered a dollar for dollar match on all donations and pledges that are received by December 31, 2018, up to $300,000. “The DeKalb County Nonprofit Partnership is a proven asset worthy of your donation. We are pleased to participate in the challenge grant and encourage your participation,” said Doug and Lynn Roberts.

DCNP offers training, collaborative fundraising, programs, leadership development, and networking opportunities to nonprofit staff, volunteers, and board members throughout DeKalb County. DCNP also coordinates the popular 24-hour annual giving day, Give DeKalb County, which has raised more than $1.8 million for nonprofits in DeKalb County since 2014.

Ellen Rogers, Executive Director of the Voluntary Action Center, added, “DCNP is an invaluable partner to our nonprofit community, offering education, collaboration, resources, and leadership so important to our continued work in providing the very best for our County’s citizens.”

Donations can be made by check or online at dekalbccf.org/strongertogether.  Questions and pledge inquiries can be directed to Dan Templin, Executive Director, at 815-748-5383 or dan@dekalbccf.org.

Learn more! Donations and pledges received before December 31 will be doubled with matching funds up to $300,000.
