Aumann-Weyenberg Receives 2018 Renaissance Scholarship
August 16, 2018The DeKalb County Community Foundation is pleased to announce the 2018 Spinoso Masters Scholarship recipients. Four individuals will receive a total of $30,000 to use toward Masters level education. The award winners are Katharine Denius, Kelsey Schrader, Ryan Schultz, and Samantha Volk.
To receive a Spinoso Masters Scholarship, individuals must be past graduates of a high school located in DeKalb County and enrolled in a post-undergraduate institution working toward a masters or higher degree in any field of study.
Katharine Denius is a graduate of Sycamore High School and is pursing her Doctorate of Optometry from the University of Alabama Birmingham. Kelsey Schrader is a graduate of DeKalb High School and is pursing her Masters of Art Spiritual Formation & Discipleship from Moody Theological Seminary. Ryan Schultz is a graduate of DeKalb High School and is pursing his Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the University of Florida. Samantha Volk is a graduate of DeKalb High School and is pursuing her Masters in Social Work at The University of Illinois at Chicago.
Donors John and Vivian Spinoso are long-time residents of DeKalb County with a strong desire to support continuing education. In its seventh year as a scholarship award at the Community Foundation, the Spinoso Masters Scholarship has awarded a total of $210,000 to local graduates.
