Nonprofit registration is now open for Give DeKalb County 2018. This 24-hour fundraising event will be held on May 3, 2018. During this giving day, donors can support nonprofit organizations by making donations online or in-person at the DeKalb County Community Foundation.
Give DeKalb County is coordinated by the DeKalb County Nonprofit Partnership (DCNP), a program of the Community Foundation. Celebrating its fifth anniversary in 2018, the previous four giving days have raised over $1.2 million combined for participating nonprofit organizations.
A bonus pool of $40,000 has been raised so far and each donation made during Give DeKalb County is boosted by a percentage of these bonus funds. The bonus pool is made possible from the generous support of Community Partners, including: DeKalb County Community Foundation, State Farm—Keicher Insurance Agency, Morningstar Media Group, The Suter Company, First Midwest Bank, The Chulick Family Fund, Paul Callighan, Dan and Kathy Schewe, and Lynne Waldeland.
The following Media Sponsors are helping raise awareness about this unique community-wide event: Banner Up Signs, DeKalb County Online, DeKalb Chamber of Commerce, Genoa Area Chamber of Commerce, Lehan Drugs, LePrint Express, Morningstar Media Group, Provident Direct, Sandwich Area Chamber of Commerce, and Shaw Media.
“We’re excited to celebrate the 5th anniversary of Give DeKalb County. We’ve had donors call this their favorite day of the year and it’s an extraordinary opportunity to shine a light on the nonprofit sector,” said Ben Bingle, Director of DCNP. “We’re fortunate to live in a very generous community and Give DeKalb County is an exciting way to express that generosity.”
Participating nonprofits must be 501(c)3 organizations located in and/or serving DeKalb County that are legally registered to fundraise in Illinois and 2018 DCNP members by March 1, 2018.
