New Fund Supports the Care of Homeless Animals
September 25, 2017As with any good plan, input from the people you serve is of utmost importance. With that in mind, we are being intentional with our time over the next several months to meet with each of the communities we serve. These “Community Gatherings” will be a unique opportunity for our donors, community leaders, and supporters, to provide feedback on how we’re doing as a Community Foundation. Are we effective as a Community Foundation in YOUR community? Are there opportunities in YOUR community that we’re not aware of? How well do you know the Community Foundation and the services we provide? These are just a few of the question types we’ll be asking. The feedback we receive will help to shape our priorities for the 2018 – 2020 Strategic Plan.
Each Gathering is unique in the event location and host Board member. Do you know which Community Foundation board member represents your community in DeKalb County? They’ll be there and we would love to introduce you to them!
During the event, we’ll provide a list of information showing direct impact, donor generosity, and board representation from that community. This information will provide a snapshot of philanthropy in each community. Following this brief presentation and Foundation overview, we’ll have a time for questions and feedback.
Scheduling of Community Gatherings has just begun. Be on the lookout for the Community Gathering in your area. We hope to see you there!
